Research Fellow, the new program for young researchers, receives 300 applications in its first call

Ikerbasque Foundation has received 300 applications for its first Research Fellow call. This initiative has been specifically designed to attract and retain in the Basque Country below 40 years expertsfrom all areas of knowledge in order to create a scientists and researchers pool.

The call to contract 20 post-doctoral researchers, Research Fellows, has been launched this year for the first time. It was mandatory for the candidates to have obtained their PhD before January 2010, and to have previous contact with universities or researcher centres from the Basque Country in order to develop a research project.
